Dear Mimi & Len
Herbert & Norma have a boy & are now living way up on 225th St. overlooking the river, Harlem River that is.
We have been having the coldest, snowiest December ever. We spent the vacation in N.J. sledding & ice skating, every day.
The artists club had a new years day party serving eggs & bacon from 1 PM on. Children were welcome & it seemed that the people with children mostly appeared.
Marcia Marcus is expecting again.
The Tanager will probably fold this year. The great need no longer exists. With a little bush beathing uptown galleries can be had. Dick Bellamy opened an uptown place which is interesting & has congenial atmosphere.
Sullivan St. has a new gallery – Group shows only. N.Y. School – Paul Cummings a friend of Enids’ runs it.
Janet Keyshian place on Great Jones is also fine.
Beauchamps show was good.
Al Leslie has put out a magazine & Sid Geist a small newspaper called Scrap.
The newspapers no longer cover us what with Dore Ashton’s exit from the Times. It affects attendance & appreciation considerably not having that serious appraisal.
Give my best to Begley’s & Eli sends his also. And to Micio, the cat.
Lois
